🌿 ASHLR Distinguished Scholar Award
Recognizing excellence in research, innovation, and teaching in Humanities, Social Sciences, Literary Studies, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Education, and allied disciplines.Eligibility
- Open to Professors, Associate Professors, and equivalent academicians or scholars in Humanities, Social Sciences, Literary Studies, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Education, and allied disciplines.
- Minimum of 12 years of teaching or research experience in recognized academic or research institutions.
- Candidates must be 40 years of age or above at the time of nomination.
- Applicants must hold Lifetime Membership of ASHLR.
Evaluation Parameters
| 1. Teaching and Research Experience – Duration and quality of service in higher education and research institutions. |
| 2. Research Publications – Number and quality of publications in UGC-CARE/SCOPUS indexed journals, emphasizing high-impact research and citations. |
| 3. Innovation and Contributions – Books, edited volumes, theoretical contributions, cultural studies work, linguistic analysis, or pedagogical innovations. |
| 4. Research Projects – Major or minor projects completed or ongoing as Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-PI, supported by recognized funding agencies. |
| 5. Research Supervision – Number of Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral researchers successfully supervised. |
| 6. Professional Involvement – Contributions to academic bodies, committees, editorial boards, conferences, and academic leadership roles. |
| 7. Recognition and Impact – Awards, honors, invited lectures, fellowships, and contributions to Humanities and Social Sciences. |
Award Benefits
- Feature in the ASHLR Annual Report and Official Website.
- Priority invitations for lectures, editorial responsibilities, and scholarly collaborations under ASHLR initiatives.
General Guidelines
- Open exclusively to Life Members of ASHLR.
- An application fee of INR 300 is applicable for applying to any award category.
- Awardees receive a Recognition Certificate and are featured in the ASHLR Annual Report and Website.
Application Procedure
- Eligible candidates must first obtain Lifetime Membership of ASHLR.
- Complete the online Google Form with all required details.
- Upload supporting documents including CV, publication list, books, research work, project details, and recognitions.
- Incomplete or incorrect submissions may not be considered for evaluation.
Terms & Conditions
- Awards are open only to Life Members of ASHLR.
- Each candidate may apply for only one award per year.
- Applications must be submitted before the specified deadline.
- No queries or correspondence regarding the selection process will be entertained.
- Incomplete or improperly filled applications will not be accepted.
- If eligibility criteria are not fully met, the candidate may be considered for a more appropriate award category, subject to consent.
- Any false or misleading information will lead to disqualification and revocation of awards.
- The decision of ASHLR shall be final and binding. No legal claims shall be entertained.
