The ASHLR Emerging Researcher Award recognizes and encourages young postgraduate scholars and early-stage researchers who exhibit strong academic excellence and promising potential for future contributions to the fields of Humanities, Social Sciences, Literary Studies, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Education, and allied disciplines. This award serves as an early recognition platform to motivate young talents toward academic inquiry, innovation, and leadership.

Open to Postgraduate students (M.A./M.Ed./M.Phil.) – Final Year and Ph.D. (First Year) students in Humanities, Social Sciences, Literary Studies, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Education, and allied disciplines.

Applicants must demonstrate high academic merit, research aptitude, and commitment to academic growth.

Applicant must hold Lifetime Membership of ASHLR before applying.

1. Percentage in Undergraduate (UG) Program.

2. Percentage in Postgraduate (PG) Program.

3. Qualification or Performance in National Exams – NET/JRF/GATE or equivalent.

4. Research Potential – Statement of Purpose (SOP) or write-up on research interests and future goals.

5. Academic Achievements – Awards, scholarships, or distinctions relevant to humanities & social sciences.

• Feature in the ASHLR Annual Report and Official Website.

• Priority for participation in ASHLR workshops, conferences, and training programs.

• Open exclusively to Life Members of ASHLR.

• An application fee of INR 300 is applicable for applying to any award category.

• Awardees will receive a Recognition Certificate and will be featured in the ASHLR Annual Report and Website.

2. Fill out the online Google Form and provide all required details accurately.

3. Upload supporting documents including mark sheets, certificates, and proof of NET/JRF qualifications (if applicable).

4. Incomplete or incorrect submissions will not be considered.

• No correspondence regarding the selection process will be entertained.

• Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

• Applicants not fully matching the criteria may be considered for a more appropriate category.

• Any false or misleading information will result in disqualification.

• The decision of ASHLR shall be final and binding.
