🌿 ASHLR Outstanding Women Researcher Award

The ASHLR ASHLR Outstanding Women Researcher Award recognizes emerging talents in Humanities, Social Sciences, Literary Studies, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Education, and allied disciplines who exhibit exceptional research potential, innovation, and academic excellence. It aims to motivate young academicians and researchers to advance the frontiers of knowledge through innovative and impactful contributions. There will be two awards in this category:

• 📘 One for Assistant Professors / Early Career Faculty
• 📚 One for Current Ph.D. Research Scholars / Postdoctoral Fellows actively pursuing research in Humanities, Social Sciences, Literary Studies, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Education, and allied disciplines

Eligibility

• Open to Assistant Professors, Research Associates, Research Officers, Postdoctoral Fellows, and Ph.D. holders in Humanities, Social Sciences, Literary Studies, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Education, and allied disciplines.
• Candidates must be below 40 years of age as on 31st December of the award year.
• Applicant must hold Lifetime Membership of ASHLR before applying.

Evaluation Parameters

Applications will be assessed on academic merit, research excellence, and innovation, considering the following:

1. Research Publications – Number and quality of publications in UGC-CARE/SCOPUS indexed journals.
2. Research Projects & Grants – Participation or leadership in funded research projects as PI, Co-PI, or team member.
3. Innovation – Novel contributions in theoretical, cultural, linguistic, educational, or interdisciplinary studies.
4. Academic Contributions – Participation in conferences, symposia, and workshops.
5. Awards & Recognitions – Relevant academic honors and recognitions.
6. Future Research Potential – Demonstrated capability and vision for future impactful research.

• Feature in the ASHLR Annual Report and Official Website.
• Opportunities to collaborate, present, and publish under ASHLR programs and journals.

General Guidelines

• Open exclusively to Life Members of ASHLR.
• An application fee of INR 300 is applicable for applying to any award category.
• Awardees receive a Recognition Certificate and are featured in the ASHLR Annual Report and Website.

1. Obtain Lifetime Membership of ASHLR prior to submission.
2. Complete the online Google Form with personal, academic, and research details.
3. Upload supporting documents (CV, publication list, patents, awards, etc.).
4. Incomplete or inaccurate applications will not be considered.

• Awards are open only to Life Members of ASHLR.
• Each applicant may apply for only one award per year.
• Applications must be submitted before the deadline.
• No correspondence regarding the selection process will be entertained.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.
• Applicants not meeting full criteria may be considered for a more suitable category, with consent.
• False or misleading information will result in disqualification.
• The decision of ASHLR shall be final and binding.
