🌿 ASHLR Young Researcher Award

The ASHLR Young Researcher Award recognizes emerging talents in Humanities, Social Sciences, Literary Studies, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Education, and allied disciplines who exhibit exceptional research potential, innovation, and academic excellence. It aims to motivate young scholars and researchers to advance knowledge through impactful contributions. There will be two awards in this category:

• 📘 One for Assistant Professors / Early Career Faculty
• 📚 One for Current Ph.D. Research Scholars / Postdoctoral Fellows actively pursuing research in Humanities, Social Sciences, Literary Studies, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Education, and allied disciplines

Eligibility

• Open to Assistant Professors, Research Associates, Research Officers, Postdoctoral Fellows, and Ph.D. holders in the above-mentioned disciplines.
• Candidates must be below 40 years of age as on 31st December of the award year.
• Applicant must hold Lifetime Membership of ASHLR before applying.

Evaluation Parameters

Applications will be assessed on academic merit, research excellence, and innovation, considering the following:

1. Research Publications – Quality publications in UGC-CARE/SCOPUS indexed journals, especially high-impact work.
2. Research Projects & Grants – Participation or leadership in funded academic or research projects.
3. Innovation – Unique theoretical contributions, cultural studies work, linguistic analysis, or novel academic insights.
4. Academic Contributions – Papers, conferences, seminars, and workshops showcasing research work.
5. Awards & Recognitions – Honors, fellowships, or institutional recognitions.
6. Future Research Potential – Strong vision for continued impactful research.

Award Benefits

• Feature in the ASHLR Annual Report and Official Website.
• Opportunities to collaborate, present, and publish under ASHLR programs and journals.

General Guidelines

• Open exclusively to Life Members of ASHLR.
• An application fee of INR 300 is applicable for applying to any award category.
• Awardees receive a Recognition Certificate and will be featured in the ASHLR Annual Report and Website.

1. Obtain Lifetime Membership of ASHLR prior to submission.
2. Fill out the online Google Form with accurate academic and research details.
3. Upload supporting documents (CV, publication list, achievements, etc.).
4. Incomplete or inaccurate applications will not be considered.

• Awards are open only to Life Members of ASHLR.
• Applicants may apply for only one award per year.
• Applications must be submitted before the deadline.
• No correspondence regarding the selection process will be entertained.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.
• Applicants not meeting complete criteria may be shifted to a suitable category with consent.
• False information will result in immediate disqualification.
• The decision of ASHLR is final and binding.
